and certainly that's what we're seeing cooking up in the u.s. senate. for these folks, they say he is out of touch. he doesn't understand. this is the president saying look, it's cool, i'm down, i'm with you. >> and are we to understand from the white house that the president, as he asserted a couple weeks ago shoots all the time and maybe this isn't his first and only time at camp david. go we know anything about his vast experience with firearms? >> well, i am not going to pose myself as an international skeet shooting judge. it's pretty clear from the president's posture and his stance there that he is a bit of a novice and that picture was taken in august. today jay carney the white house press secretary told reporters that the president, he believes, has gotten better since then, since that picture was taken and that, perhaps, he has improved but certainly what happened was the opposite of what the white house wanted to have happen here. they wanted to show that the president was okay with guns and not just some ante gun banning person. but then, in fact, had had the counter effect w
as the u.s. military's most lethal sniper and another man both killed at the rough creek lodge roughly 50 miles southwest of fort worth texas, yesterday. texas authorities believe eddie ray ruth of lancaster shot kyle and his close friend chad little field shortly after 3:00 in the afternoon fleeing the lodge area in kyle's stolen pickup truck. he was a dedicated corporal in the marines who had been deployed in iraq in 2007 and served in haiti in 2010. currently listed on reserve duty. a motive for the shooting remains unclear. but ruth apparently suffered from ptsd. according to friends, kyle may have taken him to the range in an effort to help him cope and ruth turned on the two men, shooting them at close range. after the murders, texas authorities say ruth drove to his sister's house and told her and her husband what happened at the gun range. they called law enforcement who went to ruth's home to make an arrest. ruth fled but caught after a short pursuit and automatic handgun recovered at his home. >> harris: kyle, a true american patriot had appeared on fox news not long ago. >> exa
